Josiane Mimbu, M. Sc.
Administrator
Josiane is an experienced educator in Ontario, dedicating more than five years to the field of teaching. Her passion lies in the empowerment of young girls, the pursuit of gender equality, and advocating for women's rights. In addition to her role in education, Josiane has a background in accounting, having worked internationally. Her commitment extends globally, as she supports various women's groups in Africa.
Bringing a wealth of experience and a multifaceted skill set, Josiane joined our Board of Directors in 2023. Her unique blend of expertise in education, finance, and her advocacy for women's rights makes her a valuable asset to our organization. Josiane's commitment to fostering empowerment and equality aligns seamlessly with our mission, and we are privileged to have her contributing to the strategic direction and impact of our initiatives.
Djibrillou Moussa, M. Sc
Chairperson of the Board of Directors
Moussa holds a Master's degree (Diplôme d’études approfondies - DEA) from the University of Sfax, Tunisia, and a Master's in Economics from the Université de Sherbrooke, Canada. His academic achievements underscore his commitment to a multidimensional understanding of economics.
nternationally recognized as an expert in economics and finance, Moussa has contributed significantly to social development as the Technical Advisor and Head of the Social Development Unit at the Office of the Prime Minister of Niger. His professional journey also led him to Canada, where he served as a sales supervisor at Bell Canada, showcasing his versatility and adaptability across different sectors.
Beyond his professional accomplishments, Djibrillou remains deeply engaged in community development. He dedicates his leisure time to supporting immigrants, facilitating their social and professional integration—a testament to his commitment to creating positive impacts at both local and global levels.


Gino Alavo, M. Sc.
Administrator
Gino Alavo holds a Master's degree in Economics from the Université de Sherbrooke. An expert in finance, he has worked in various countries, including France and Benin. His passion lies in establishing democratic nomination systems, showcasing his commitment to democratic and transparent values. As the author of a book on elections in Benin, Gino shares his knowledge and experience to contribute to the advancement of democratic processes.
In addition to his professional accomplishments, Gino Alavo stands out for his strong humanitarian sensibility and dedication to knowledge transmission. Recognizing the challenges faced by disadvantaged communities, he generously devotes his free time to educating vulnerable students. His humanitarian commitment reflects his deep desire to create a positive impact beyond his financial expertise, highlighting his essential role as a member of the board of directors of our organization.
Karem Itokua, Ph.D.
Administrator
Karem is a family physician and pediatrician in the city of Thetford Mines. She has practiced medicine in Belgium and the Democratic Republic of the Congo, enhancing her professional experience on an international scale. Passionate about supporting women in acquiring essential knowledge for life-saving purposes, she dedicates her medical expertise to saving lives.
Outside of her professional activities, Karem invests her free time in mentoring medical students, guiding them in writing scientific articles, and assisting in the popularization of their research work. Her commitment extends beyond everyday medical practice, as she firmly believes that well-educated women make a significant contribution to improving the health of the population. As a dedicated advocate, she actively campaigns for the empowerment of women, embodying a positive force for the advancement of public health.


Tchuani Jiembou Carno, Ph.D
Adminstrator
Carno, with a Ph.D. in development economics, has a diverse professional background. He spent over 7 years as a Research Officer at the Ministry of Economy and Spatial Planning in Cameroon. Later, he served as the Head of the Planning and Monitoring-Evaluation Unit at the National Committee to Fight AIDS in Cameroon for 5 years. In this capacity, Carno supervised the implementation of HIV/AIDS prevention programs and initiatives for the care of orphans and vulnerable children in the Littoral province (Cameroon).
His career also includes a stint in the research department of the French Development Agency. Subsequently, he took on the role of Coordinator of Health Information Systems at the NGO Solidarité thérapeutique et initiative pour la santé. Driven by a passion for humanitarian action and international development, he founded the organization 'Monde des Humain' in 2016, aiming to bring together highly educated Black individuals to contribute their knowledge to the community.
